Sales rep will answer & respond quickly. Day of move..movers arrived a few hours late. They failed to protect anything except the glass. 80% of the items were damaged in transit. Movers then leaned items against walls & other furniture to hide damage. Filing a claim is easy, but getting action is painful. Sales rep will push you back to claims department. Local claim rep is full of excuses if they answer or return your call at all. No updated on numerous email attempts. I would highly recommend finding another moving company.

My move was really easy with the Milestone Relocation Solutions. I already had everything boxed and furniture disassembled. The movers (two guys) showed up on time and moved my boxes and furniture very carefully! The move took exactly as long as they estimated, so I was very pleased with the movers and the company in general. It cost exactly how much they estimated with no hidden fees, and nothing was broken in process. The movers were very attentive to my needs of where the furniture and boxes need to go in my new home, and accommodated my requests. I am happy. Will definitely use again.

Service cost: $295

I used these movers July 7, 1014. I had my stuff moved from a 1 bedroom apt into a storage unit that was apprx. a half hour drive away. It took the movers over 5 hours to complete this. After loading up the truck, they said they needed to stop for gas, which took over 20 minutes since both movers also need to make personal calls. One mover repeatedly asked me out from the time the move started until it ended. When I complained that about an hour of move time was wasted by the mover stopping his work to sexually harass me, I was told "sorry that happened". The mover had told me about recent incident where a woman reported him for making her uncomfortable for hitting on her but it didn't matter since his cousins were the bosses. I cancelled the move I had planned from the storage unit to my new rental because I feared for my safety, which I stressed to the agent Who scheduled my move. Nonetheless, he didn't cancel the move and my address was given to the person I specifically did not want to have it. I hired a new mover and as the furniture was being removed of the storage unit I could see the gouges in the wood in my office and bedroom furniture. When movin me out of my old apt Milestone didn't use any blankets or pads, and obviously didn't take any care with my furniture. Summary- double the estimated moving time & cost, severe, irreparable furniture damage, and spent a year feeling unsafe in my own home because one of the movers didn't understand or respect that women who hire them aren't signing up for a dating service.

Please take the warnings from all of the yelp reviews that you see! I saw the 1 star reviews but wanted to give them a chance (they were CHEAP). Do not book a moving with this company. I don't care if they're offering you a promotion to move you for free. My mom always told me you pay for what you get. And this here is the prime example. They have attractive pricing but do horrible work. This one star should be a zero. I do my very best to leave positive yelp reviews but I cannot find much positive things to say about this company. I booked this company to move me from my townhouse to my home. I spoke to Richard Gordan on the phone who was very pleasant. He made me feel at ease as if the move was going to be a breeze. Long story short I selected to have these guys move me from 2 PM to 4 PM. That is the window that they were supposed to show up to start my move. I didn't get a phone call until 4:16 PM saying that they were going to be there at 5:16 which was an hour and 16 minutes beyond their window. No one called me at all during the 2 to 4 window to let me know that they were going to be late. When the guys showed, up they showed up in a 15 foot box truck to move a three bedroom townhouse, with kitchen and living room and patio furniture. I can't be mad at them because they were just showing up with what they were supplied with. The team was three young black men who were very respectful and hard-working. I do believe they did the very best they could with what they had unfortunately the entire job from beginning to end was a FAIL. I spent three days clearing out the townhouse putting everything in the garage to make this move a breeze as I wanted this to go by very quick and smooth. They were charging me $144 an hour so I wanted to utilize as less hours as possible. Long story short I had a few big pieces of furniture upstairs that I needed the young men to move. You will see pictures of what happened as they moved the furniture from the rooms, down the stairs and into the truck. These guys destroyed my stairwell walls as well as left huge scratches and gouges on the stairs. Right now we're going through Covid19, I have a pregnant wife at home, and she went to go use the restroom in our townhouse where she found a nice surprise were one of the movers decided to use the bathroom and left behind some of his droppings. This was absolutely nasty and it really pissed me off but I continued to roll with the punches. Because the truck that the gentleman was supplied was so small, they were not able to get all of my belongings into the truck. This meant that we would need to make a second trip which in turn would cost me more money as it would take more time in mileage. I was so frustrated at that time I just told the gentleman to pack the truck with what they could and let's just go. This experience was such a nightmare that when we arrived to our new home I took the team to the side and told them that we cannot repeat what happened at my last place. I told them that I wanted them to slow down and to figure out how to get the furniture in the home without tearing up my new walls. I even jumped in moving things myself. I moved almost every big piece of furniture helping these guys maneuver it up and down the stairs. When we hire movers and moving companies you want to have a peace of mind that your belongings are in good hands and that these movers are not going to tear up the place that you're moving into. With this company I was afraid from my new place as I knew they were going to tear some things up. There are pictures here as proof to what happened in my last place. I've been charged hundreds of dollars as I've had to get the walls puttied and repainted. I've also had to hire someone to come out and fix the stairs as those scratches left in my wood stairs caused a lot of damage. Again, the three gentlemen that were moving us were very very nice and respectful and I think they were doing the best they could with what they were given however this move was trash from the start. You truly pay for what you get. These guys charged me $605 to move me from one Raleigh area to another and the price was really affordable however the work presented was not worth it. I would like to extend the biggest WARNING to every person that reads this review, I don't care how cheap of a price you were quoted, do not do business with this moving company at all. The amount of money that it's cost me to repair what they have done has sent my entire moving bill way over budget. The simple fact that I have been reaching out to this company for over two weeks now and trying to get them to work with me and talk to me about this damage Is frustrating. I've sent emails, called So many times my phone knows them by heart and I've literally spoken to two people. Currently they have dont NOTHING to rectify this claim! STAY AWAY FROM MILESTONE!!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $650

My husband and I hired Milestone for the third time and were promised an arrival time of 9-11 am. By noon, we had called and texted several times with no response. By 4 pm, we were scrambling to locate our own Uhaul truck to load and move ourselves at the last minute. It has been a week since our move and we have heard nothing from anyone about why this happened, despite leaving numerous voice and text messages on every number we had. Beyond unprofessional, this was simply rude and disrespectful.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1700

This is the WORST moving company EVER! I have moved several times, but never had such a disgusting experience. The movers were unprofessional, smelled like alcohol and destroyed my house and my things. They left holes in the house when they were taking the furniture out and they said they would come back to fix it. All the furniture was assembled back incorrectly.
The move lasted double the time it should have lasted and they were doing everything very slowly.
They did not give me the discounts they promised.
If you take good care of your stuff, DON'T use this company, they are HORRIBLE!!

Your guys were on time, they worked hard and efficiently. They were friendly and took good care of my property during the move. They made it easy and enjoyable. I've used two other moving companies prior to this one and this is by far the best in the metro/dc/md area.  Prior to using this company the guys before took 6 1/2 hours and damaged our things with scuffs.  The exact move from our storage unit to our home took milestone movers 3 hours. Almost less than half the time and half the price of the previous company. Richard the sales man was the best. He even helped when we had to change the date and time last minute.  I will be referring friends, family, and co-workers in the future to this company.

When the guys arrived they had no supplies to wrap my furniture after I informed the salesman that I wanted my furniture wrapped. Every piece of wood furniture has scatches. One wood VHS holder's leg was broken they propped it up and never said anything. My glass table as deep scrates in it and I was not satisfied. For $99 per hour I expected them to work hard and not be slacking off by talking on the cell phone and taking a millon breaks. My end result was a moving bill well over $800 and I had already moved most of my small items before they even arrived. I was moving from a three bedroom townhouse into a house and it took them forever to take down the beds and even longer to put them up. I don't think its the company just this crew that needs to be let go. Customer service from the company was ok but the movers were unsatifactory.

The movers were on-time and they did not take many breaks however I do feel that they could have brought more moving equipment such as hand trucks.  I was lucky I had two flat hand trucks from my job because that helped speed up the move.  Time is money and the job would have taken a lot longer if I didn't have my hand trucks.  The gentelemen were nice however they should have brought their own water because the average person may have packed up all of their dishes and cleaned out the refrigerator so they would not be able to get any water.  I enjoyed the movers though.

Service cost: $94

I needed to move a one bedroom apartment a mile and a half down the stree to a new apartment. The movers were very courteous & professional, despite being almost an hour late. They moved quickly and had everything out of my apartment within half an hour. The company recognized that the movers were late & offered us a 10% discount off of the move to make up for the tardiness. Overall, the experience was a good one & I would definitely call them again for another move.

I live in MA and I needed to find a moving company for my daughter who attends school in DC and needed to move to MD. After searching online and multiple calls I decided on Milestone relocation solutions. Edison made the entire move from phone calls to email confirmation and the actual move perfect.  The 2 men showed up on time they were efficent polite and very careful with the furniture. they made the whole moving experience great and it was very reasonably priced . I would highly recommend this company anytime to other people if they ask.  .

First time hiring a moving company, moving several large furniture items from my mother's home into two separate storage spaces.  Price was competitive compared to other estimates and the only company that could guarantee pickup & delivery in short turnaround time required.  Even with truck issues, crew arrived on time, were courteous, professional, worked fast, and were expert packers.  Packed and delivered furniture to two locations within minimum time and did an awesome job all around.  I would recommend to a friend and will use again if I need moving services.

Milestone did not come to our home to provide an estimate they did it thorugh verbal/email and resoluted in being short a truck.  Waiting almost an hour for the situation to be resolved and confirmation on another truck and then required a 4 man crew.  The cost was $500 more than the estimate.  They could not get the refrigerator out the door and had to take it apart and did a bad job of it, lost parts, broke parts and there are dings in the doors.  We have been finding furniture that is damaged now after we have had time to look at everything.  I was told I would be called 30 min prior to arriving, never received a phone call.  Then for the day we moved into our new home I was advised they would be there between 7 and 7:30 they did not call until 7:30 and said they would be there in an hour and didn't arrive until 2 hours later.  In addition, they did not put bring 25 totes we wanted upstairs they left them in the garage.  Called the operations manager and never received a call back!

I would give this company an A . The gentleman who helped me on the phone was very polite and helpful with all of the options, pricing, and services that the company offered. The movers called prior to their arrival, as promised, and showed up exactly on time. They came with all the proper equipment, and moved everything out in a timely manner. They expertly dissassembled and reassembled all of the items where it was required. My items were packed neatly and arrived in my new home without so much as a scratch. The movers were very polite to my wife, and to conclude the transaction, they were very knowledgeable with the paperwork. I highly recommend this company to anyone considering a move in the DC area.

I used Milestone Reloction Solutions to move (my son's) a fourth floor apartment into storage with NO elevator.  Not one time did I hear a complaint.  They were very professional, worked very hard and were courteous, and very careful the entire time. They did not stop until the job was complete.  Mr. Prouty worked with me to give me the best price possible. We recently moved our house from VA to TX and used a different company and the service did not compare to Milestone.  I only wish I had found them for that move first.  They did a better job than the big name movers that I used for the cross country move.  I will definately use them in the future if I have a moving need.
